Can I hook to 7.2v battery packs together to run an RC boat?

 I have a RC boat to come in the mail this week .. just a cheap toy .. it will (2) 380 engines (not without fault, which means 380) I used to have one like that, but my kids broke .. I still have the battery ...

 If the batteries are in series motors can move a little faster, but you fire on the radio in the boat.
