Can you take a direct drive or v drive boat in brackish water or salt water????

 I yen a ski boat with front drive or direct drive, but I live next to a river and the ocean. Can you account for these motors in these types of waters? What kind of engine should you not take into brackish or salt?

 You can take one of today's engines in all the amazing you want. It does not matter what type of cooling you have. Many engines have an impact on attachment (even inboard / v players) but I never see them used to my marina (water zipper).

 I purchased a Moomba Mobius LSV with a indmar assult 325 and then i have dignity three ballast and all that stuff... i live in tomball texas so it doesnt get too disheartening here but what should i do? What is the Fuel Additive? should i do anything with the ballast... i distinguish
