Does anybody know the name of an old playstation 1 game about fighting robots?

 I do not expect many people to know, but it was for the PlayStation 1. It was about building robots. You can customize them with shields and weapons and guns, then would the fight against spam and other as you move to each level, you gain more weapons.

 Pit armored?? by chance. My cousin used to own the PS1 and it wasn't really normal at the time, I know they have a new sequal to the 360/PS3 yet.

Anyone know the name of this old anime with fighting toy robots?

 I am bothersome to find the name of this cartoon/anime that I used to watch as a kid. It revolves around this kid, who has a whitish toy robot. He builds and upgrades it on a regular basis and enters fights against other toy robots controlled by other characters. The fights are
